Wonderland

Welcome to my Wonderland,
It's grown dark since Alice left
The trees have sealed their verbose trunks
All the playing cards have fled

Instead there flows a sea of tears
Whose salt coat our savory glands
The Hatter roams in shades of gray
Teacups of vodka in his hands

Her castle left in ruins,
Her ground unmarked with blood
A cunning cat then jumps her prey
"off with their heads!!"...a sudden rush

White rabbits are pretty,
They're counting down to our doom,
The graveyard's full of kings with queens
A mystic silence seems to loom

The prude mister caterpillar
Was the first to meet our maker
His unrolled joint shot up in flames
The 'Mad Hare' burned later....

Frenzied, hysterical,
scared, took flight
One could hear "spare my children"
and "serves them right"

And through the parted clouds appeared the finger
Lips so blithe, the terror-bringer!
Tall and mighty, match in hand
Was Alice burning Wonderland.

(This was vastly inspired by a certain piece of art drawn by my best friend, Denver and although i wish i could have incorporated all of the original ideas and characters portrayed in 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, i can't!. Soooo, hope you liked it. :)
